There’s something truly magical about stepping into a venue that balances historical grandeur with contemporary elegance perfectly. During my recent visit to Casterton Grange in May, I was reminded once again why this exceptional venue holds such a special place in my heart (and no, it isn’t because they have baby doll sheep and horses, although that does have an effect).

Nestled in the picturesque countryside of Cumbria, Casterton Grange stands as a testament to architectural beauty and historical significance. This stunning Georgian manor house, dating back to the 18th century, has been lovingly restored by Anneka, Patrick and their family to offer couples a wedding venue that seamlessly blends classic period charm with modern luxury.
The venue’s rich history is woven into every corner – from the elegant Georgian facades to the beautifully manicured gardens that have witnessed countless love stories unfold. As a luxury wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing numerous celebrations here, and each visit reveals new details that speak to the venue’s enduring appeal.

Casterton Grange’s location in the southern Lake District provides an idyllic backdrop for wedding photography. The surrounding Lune Valley offers breathtaking vistas of rolling hills, ancient woodlands, and the gentle meandering of the River Lune.
